FAIRNESS. We do not want to reduce the fair share paid to bring more development. Balancing the distribution of development funds is common sense, especially given the serious challenges Sandy faces with wastewater / water management.

AFFORDABILITY. Providing more affordable housing in Sandy is essential to our residents’ wellbeing, and we want to do this responsibly. Oregon law HB2001 mandates adequate, affordable housing, and balancing this requirement with what is best for Sandy residents is critical.

COLLABORATION. By fostering collaboration between government, businesses and community members, we can achieve solutions that work for everyone. A well-rounded approach.

TRANSPARENCY. This one is simple. We believe your government should be accountable to YOU, its citizens. We want to hear you and represent your interests and needs.

SAFETY. Your safety is top priority. We highly value our police officers, and making sure they are equipped and trained ensures they can serve you effectively. We will be working toward funding this adequately as well as addressing homelessness through grants and county level resources, working together to help people succeed.
