About the People For Sandy PAC

You asked, we are listening…

Who are the People For Sandy? That’s ALL OF US who are citizens of 97055 that care about this city.

Why did we form a PAC (Political Action Committee)? We believe some new direction is needed in Sandy leadership, and these three candidates are strong individuals who will put the Sandy community’s interests first.

It’s that simple.

We knew we had great candidates for Mayor and Council who wanted to run and we wanted to support them, so we started making phone calls to learn how to go about it correctly. The Oregon Secretary of State advised us that the correct way to do this was to form a PAC, which in our case is intended to do two things:

1. to provide support to the candidates in navigating the process, and

2. to allow detailed financial reporting of expenses and donations.

Transparency is key, so all of our financial information is available on the Secretary of State’s website.

It is clear that new leadership is needed in Sandy government, and while the two of us live in Sandy but outside city limits, we are extremely invested in our town. We don’t have a vote, but we can offer our time and efforts to bring change by helping those who CAN serve our community and are willing to step up and do the work to make it happen!
